Travelled the Lindis Pass between Cromwell and Omarama. Stopped near the summit to take in the scenery, which was absolutely stunning. Central Otago at is best. Not to be missed.

Drove through on the way to Queenstown. Sun was out and it was a lovely day to drive. Stunning scenery, would like to see it in winter, when the snow is around.

As I was biking around the South Island, it was a huff and puff all the way to the top, but the breathtaking views from the top made it worth all the sweat. The ride down on the other side was a breeze.

Stopped at the lookout

This is just a gorgeous road to be driving on with Mountain View’s on either side. We stopped at the freezing lookout point along the way for photos and then retreated to the warmth of our van. Beautiful country and an enjoyable drive.

Takes you to Central

The Lindis Pass is the inland route to Central Otago from North Otago and the McKenzie Basin. Amazing high country tussock land to be seen on this drive.

Enjoy the pass as there are some amazing views along the way. Be careful in wet, slippery conditions and I during the winter months the road can become a little more dangerous.

Breathtakingly beautiful!

I didn’t expect to have such gorgeous scenic drive. I actually pulled my car over 5-7 times during the trip lol.
